Rule 03. Rule 3 Collage - ID Never Leave Home Without an ID

Listen To This Rule

Narrated by Adam Johnson

Black Americans are more likely to be profiled and hassled by police.

Imagine being arrested for entering your own home. Or being monitored and photographed for simply walking around your own neighborhood . Imagine being considered a suspect everywhere you go. These are experiences many people couldn’t imagine, but they are part of the daily Black experience in America.

Without any form of identification, Black people risk being harassed, jailed or worse for simply being in an area where they’re entitled to be. As a result, they must always be prepared to show their ID and prove they live in their own neighborhoods.
